Title IX in K – 12 Schools
The Pre-Conference Institutes will be held from 9:30am – 4:30pm with registration from 8:30am – 9:30am and a 1 ½ hour lunch break (on your own). Please note that the Pre-Conference Institutes are designed for attendees to spend the entire day in one Institute.
About this Institute:
The NCCASA Title IX Pre-Conference Institute is intended to help participants of the 2017 NCCASA Biennial Conference expand their knowledge base regarding sexual violence in K-12 schools by doing a deeper dive into this issue. Our speakers are experts who have worked within schools and alongside students to provide training, advocacy, and legal representation in defense of their Title IX rights. This Pre-Conference Institute is appropriate for anyone who works for or with students in North Carolina to prevent or respond to sexual violence and discrimination.

For people with allergies or a fear of dogs, please note that the “Exploring Alternate Healing Modalities” Pre-Conference Institute will have therapy dogs present from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. They will not enter your Institute; however we want to make people aware that they will be onsite.
