Queen of Prevention…Jen Przewoznik

Oct 3, 2014

She supervised a Masters-level practicum intern, who worked on a number of projects that will serve to benefit both the RPE program and the larger member base related to prevention programming, including a modified grid of evidence-based strategies for SV prevention and an aggregating of the School Climate Survey data collected by RPE grantees earlier this year.

She led  a statewide Committee in planning and coordinating the  August 24, 2014 Durham stop for The Monument Quilt, a public monument to survivors of rape and abuse.  The event was attended by over 100 people and was one of only twelve stops for the Quilt in the entire country.

Jen attended and presented at the National RPE Meeting and the 2014 National Sexual Assault Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. She was an invited panelist for a 90-minute training for new RPE technical assistance providers. Additionally, she co-presented twice during NSAC: once on on “Problematizing the Healthy Relationships Framework” and once on NC’s LGBTQI College Students research study.

Jen co-planned & coordinated calls and activities of the Student Planning Committee for the First-Ever NC Campus SV/IPV Peer Educator’s Summit. The Summit, on Saturday, October 4, 2014,  will bring together college students from across the state to network and train each other on increasing their campus advocacy capacity to prevention and respond to SV/IPV.

She work jointly with NC DHHS to develop the RPE RFA & plan, host & present at the Annual RPE Meeting as well as co-present at NCCASA’s Fall Prevention Membership Meeting.

Thank you Jen for all the tireless work you do to prevent Sexual Violence.
