North Carolina Rape Crisis and Victim Services Program

The Injury and Violence Prevention Branch (IVPB) is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Applications (RFA) for the North Carolina Rape Crisis and Victims Services Program. The purpose of this program is to prevent sexual violence and to provide assistance and services to victims of rape. Funds will be awarded to community-based rape crisis centers to build organizational capacity for rape prevention and crisis response services, including but not limited to counseling and hotlines, victims assistance services and victim and community education programs on rape prevention.

The maximum award for each applicant will be $31,000. Up to 4 projects will be funded under this RFA during the funding period of 6/1/2015 – 5/31/2016.

A non-binding Letter of Intent to apply for this funding is required and due by 5:00 pm Tuesday, February 17, 2015.This letter must be sent electronically to [email protected]. Applications will not be accepted from agencies/organizations that did not submit a Letter of Intent.Late letters of intent will not be accepted.

Written questions concerning the specifications in this Request for Applications will be received until February 24, 2015. As an addendum to this RFA, a summary of all questions and answers will be placed on the IVPB’s web site March 3, 2015 at http://www.injuryfreenc.ncdhhs.gov/About/RPE.htm

All applications are due electronically by close of business (5:00 PM) on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
